Open-ended
A single lonely leaf
hanging on.
Waiting for the next breeze
to set it free.

A single Peanut
A peanut on the railway track,
its heart was all a-flutter.
Round the corner came a train.
Toot toot,
Peanut butter.
Sorry Robert. I couldnt resist that.
EDIT: Hey, it's open-ended, whatever works.
thanks,
robert

Re: Open-ended
habits....
good or bad,
old and new,
some, like an old pair of shoes,
are very hard to get rid of.
some, like a new pair of shoes,
are very hard to get used to.

getting used to time going by
getting used to wondering why
can't get used to life alone
can't get used to your heart of stone.

Re: Open-ended
would a heart of stone be better than no heart at all?
can you share your life with a stone?
can the stone share its life with you?
would it want to?
would you want it to?

Re: Open-ended
rock and roll,
those were the days.
when I played the drums
for not much pay.
now those drums just sit and rot away
or is it me that just sits and rots away?
boy I do miss the music, the bars and the guys in the band.
I miss being on the road, sharing the good times and the sometimes the bad.
